Here's an interesting example of car usage I found on page 57 of a new
softcover book on the Quebec Railway, Light & Power Co. published by
the Bytown Railway Society. In 1937, QRL&P bought two snow sweepers
from the Holyoke (Mass.) Street Railway, located on the B&M and New
Haven. They were sent north loaded on two, apparently brand-new,
Southern Railway 40-foot flatcars (numbered 116905 and 117X54). Loaded
towards or via the car owner? Not.
