The defining article on these T&P rebuilds was done by Ed Hawkins in the MP Historical Society's Fall 2004 publication "The Eagle". Ed's words on the color of these cars is "Photos display black ends with sides and roofs painted freight car red," It?will? be interesting to see if Sunshine got the relationship of the side, end and roof correct in the castings. In the photos I have it looks like the car is all Oxide red and does not have the black ends, underframe and trucks as on other T&P box cars. Does anyone know the correct paint scheme for this series of box cars.
