A professional Geneologist passed this information on to me and I
thought it might be of value to some on this list.
The National Union Catalog of Manuscript Collections (NUCMC,
pronounced nuck-muck) is a cataloging program by the Library of
Congress to identify and catalog manuscript collections throughout the
United States. It used to be published in book format. Beginning in
1993, the print version was dropped and all the entries were placed
online. NUCMC can be found online at <http://www.loc.gov/coll/nucmc/>.
