Several of these tales have mentioned the publisher's "hurry up" attitude, which surprised me given the subject matter. Sure, if it's "Behind the Scenes with The Jonas Brothers" it needs to be Right Now (Strike While The Iron is Hot)... but these freight car books are more like the story of the Dorsey Brothers... why not take the time to get it right? But I suppose anything that has to be scheduled in any way, can run up against deadlines.
So the books are like if "Acme Scale Models" does a darn good 50' box car, which matches what eight roads used, except none of them used that particular end. A bunch of people won't care (they don't read the captions.) Some people will care (they're the ones who would like to find or contribute to errata sheets.) While others will unfortunately "learn from" (and perhaps propagate) the incorrect info.
