No, the RI did not use this special logo on any other cars. They were used on 2000 PS-1 boxcars as well as 1000 ACF welded side box cars, both 40'6" IL built in 1951 and 1952.toggle quoted message Show quoted text

In 1952 the CRI&P or Rock Island Railroad celebrated 100 years of service by having a special herald on new cars. I have seen pictures which show 40' single door box cars painted this way and I have several model box cars lettered this way, but did the Rock Island use this "100 years of Progress" on other types fright cars? Thanks for any help.
