Subject: [STMFC] Ohio Minimum Caboose Length requirement circa 1914

Does anyone have the specific wording and effective date for the minimum length
of cabooses to be used in interchange service in Ohio that effectively banded
4-wheel bobbers cabeese?

Was it measured at the inside of end-ddor sill plates?

I've scaled a 17' 4" inside length of car on the C&O "new" early 1900's
cabooses.

The C&O had Road Cabooses and Conductor's cars. I don't know for sure which wer
the 4-wheel and the 8-wheel versions.

I know we talked about this on "the old list" . . . . sorry.

Thanks,

Al Kresse
