...Ted's directions don't make any truck recommendations. Do any of our "truck experts" have suggestions for appropriate trucks?

The Southern diagram sheet for series 316250-316499 and 55000-55710 shows Scullen side frames, but the sheet for 55711-55960 says only "Cast Truck". Photos show spring planks. I used Accurail "Bettendorf" trucks, but I'm not a truck expert.
