Do you mean the 53'6" GSC cast steel "Commonwealth" flats? What do you mean
by "earliest"? Like predecessors, or just those built first?

Does anyone know where I can find some pics of the first of the General Steel
Casting 53'6" flat cars? Any early info would be great. I have the
Railmodel Journal with the info on the but no early photos of the welded
cars.
