I know Al Westerfield offers these in some kits. (I just broke off some on my Westerfield B&O USRA gondola, hence my current interest) Doesn't Martin offer these in etched stainless steel in some of his kits? Before I go ahead and convince my friend to make these is anyone else working on offering them?
Martin does offer a simplified Carmer cut lever in etched steel for $2.00 a pair. Unfortunately, Al's Carmers are one of the few parts he will not sell separately as the pattern maker retained the right to sell them independently (hopefully after he finishes the patterns for an unusual single sheathed boxcar designed in Blair County, PA).
