Tony's PFE book shows U.S. Steel Products trucks on the R40-4s. Is this a AAR cast side frame truck (Bettendorf)? Also the IM model photo of the B&W scheme PFE car shows wooden running boards and ice hatch platforms. Did these cars ever get Equipco hatches or metal running boards? Obviously the K brakes have to go. I couldn't find this in the book.
