When I got my 1st dial caliper, the improvement in usability over my vernier
caliper was remarkable. My dial caliper remains my favorite, and most used tool.
I have had occasions to use digital calipers, and I don't think the usefulness
increase was significant enough to warrant me ever considering it as a
replacement for my dial caliper. I don't have to worry about battery issues,
either.
