O Scale PM decals, including the correct ones for the metal cabooses are available from Fritz Milhaupt.

You might want to consider joining the PM Historical Society and the Pere Marquette Yahoo discussion group.  They can both can be very useful.

Westerfield Models is interested in doing the F-50-3 flats.  PE  had these and would make a welcome addition to the PE freight cars.

I suggested he reference the Thompson freight car book Vol 3.

If any of you are interested you might want to contact Andrew at Westerfieldmodels@...

Oh Lord, I hope it's not Denny in his Speedo!

Otherwise, it's probably the pilot model of a new steam era freight car kit from a new manufacturer.

do you mean "imminent?" as in "soon?"

Quoting "fgexbill@... [STMFC]" <STMFC@...>:

I notice the Speedwitch website has several items restocked, new
decals and a new book appears to be eminent.

Also there is a surprise appearing at Collinsville.

A couple of data points:

- Protocraft does a set for PM 93400-93499 40 ft atuomobile boxcars.
http://www.protocraft.com/category.cfm?ItemID=685&Categoryid=39

- If you can find them, C-D-S did a variety of PM dry transfers for steel boxcars.  TMR no longer has them in stock, but this link will give you an idea what to look for:

Re: Champ decals

I have some of that -- Yes, I agree, a very good looking product!

I don't chime in here too often (stuck in lurk and learn mode) but I just have to mention this.

IMO, one of the best products Champ made was their light grey, embossed HO brick sheet. It wasn't styrene but may have been some sort of ABS. The bricks were right on the money for HO-sized standard bricks, a feat no other manufacturer has attained since. These were great for scratchbuilding steam era depots and railroad buildings.

 Add these to the list.

I'm sure the decals from the small manufacturers listed in Charlie Vlk's  message have different optimum application characteristics. How about a summary in a magazine article?

I's also like to see an updated article on  box car red colors with paints currently available (original article was in RPC).
