Re: FOR SALE: 100 Mostly RTR Freight Cars & Locomotives
Donald B. Valentine
Well, guys, as already stated I sent my resquest for a list twenty minutes ago by using the "reply to sender" key at the bottom of the page. Since the list has already arrived from Matthew that seems to work. Being woefully incompetent when it comes to computers all I can tell you is that I'm using an old Lenovo using Google and Yahoo Mail with Windows 7 that I've hated for a year and wish I still had XP. My favorite saying about Microsoft is "Never have so few made so much money by offering so little of value". As one of my MIT Model RR Club cohorts exclaimed recently, if the government were smart they would change the copyright laws on computer software so that the copyright expired the day the originator of the software stopped providing service for it. Then we would not be forced to by these lousy upgrades each of which in my opinion is worse the the crap it replaced. It would also help if the government completely phased out Microsoft and went to Linus software or something else in the publkic domain. Sorry for the soapbox, Don Valentine

Bob's Photos
Richard McQuade
I saw Bob at Amherst this year and would like to find out what other shows he attends. I especially like to see him at Amherst because he has a hotel suite and brings boxes of unsorted photos. I never know what I'll find in those boxes and would really like to know if does the same thing at any of the other shows he attends during the year.
Thanks for any help the group can provide. Richard McQuade

Re: Throwback Thursday: Ambroid Western Union Material Car
Schuyler Larrabee
I built this model when it came out. I was 11. I was very annoyed, though, because my dad and I went to the hobby shop to get the specified paint color (Pullman Green?) and apparently for a short time Floquil combined Pullman Greet and Coach Green in to a paint that was neither. Consequently, my car appears to have been a repaint around the lettering on the pre-lettered sides. Every once in a while I think I should get a matching paint and fix that . . . 60 years later . . .

He’s a regular at “most” RPMs I have seen him at Greensburg (RPM East) and RPMNE. I haven’t been to Naperville/lisle in years but he used to go there.

I've also seen Bob at the October and February GSMTS shows in Timonium, MD. The show website says he'll also be at the April show. He brings most everything he has to the Amherst show. I don't think he brings as much to some of the other shows. Mike Redden

Bob's Photos was at the Chicagoland RPM last year. I bought the Tichy floor and queen posts for the FGE project build from him. He was in different location off of the main hallway across from the restaurant.

Thanks all of you for your info. He sure gets around! Looks like Amherst is where he brings the most. Wonder if he is anywhere besides all of these?

Re: Bob's Photos
Schleigh Mike
Bob makes many of the two and even some one-day regional shows. In my experience, Kirkland and Berea (but not always both) around Cleveland and two shows a year at the Columbus, Ohio State Fairgrounds. Marlboro, Mass. near Boston. For smaller regional shows he brings the RR material germane to that area. He really gets around once doing something like 40 shows a year in past times. Not so much now but certainly the major shows in the east and sometimes farther. He is a huge asset to our historical and modeling efforts! Mike Schleigh in Grove City, Penna.
