I guess all cans aren’t created equal. The cap on my Sunnyside MEK let the MEK out very slowly, despite being tight. I haven’t had that problem with acetone or lacquer thinner.

Siems Stembel - was Standard Steel Drawing List
Bob Webber
Hi, Dennis - given the day, I decided to go to the Library,
bring a bunch of "used" tubes back to the reefer, and along
with some specific tubes, I brought back 1 Siems tube. A Soo
Box, & Gon, NP flat, MILW gon, a GN stock and some other
"stuff".
Was there something specific you might be interested in (no, I don't have specifics yet, we'll scan the tube on Wednesday, and it will be added to the SSC folder)? At 01:33 PM 1/24/2020, Dennis Storzek wrote: I only see four drawings listed for the Soo Line, searching both by common name and corporate initials. This isn't surprising, as the Soo bought very little from SSC, but begs the question, is Siems Stembel production included in the SSC list? Bob Webber

Tom Madden
When my employer closed down my prototype printed circuit lab in 1992 I liberated a 3/4 full gallon jug of MEK that was slated for disposal. I've only used it occasionally since I began resin casting, but it's still good 28 years later with minimal evaporation loss. It's in a glass jug with a lined plastic screw cap in our unheated garage.

Don's half doors are a great, cost effective way to create "fleet grade" (or better) models of tens of thousands of single and double sheathe auto boxcars, which ran through the entire timeframe for this list. They may occasionally need work for specific prototypes, but that's still faster and easier than scratching your own doors. Ray Breyer Elgin, IL

Last week we received a new fill order in which all parts are properly filled. Thus we are again taking orders for that item and generally fill and ship such orders within 48 hours. Our minimum order has been reduced to $24 to make it easier to order small numbers of such parts plus $4.00 for shipping and handling. The #1000 1/2 Door Add-On kits are $5.95 each and are designed to be easily used with the Accu-Rail Single Sheathed USRA style boxcars. Such cars were used in large numbers by the CNR, GTW and other roads. Don,
Who are you and how do we get your product? Do you distribute through another website? I googled your company name and the part number but nothing comes up but a few random parts on hobby sites and everything says back ordered? Just wondering how people can find out about your products and how to purchase them. Thanks -- Matt Smith Bloomington, IL

B&LE 82000 series box cars

Anyone have or know of any photos of a B&LE 82000 series box car? Supposed to be a double sheathed 100K ton car off their roster in late 1940 early 1941. 25 became M&StL 50300 series. A photo of one of those would be even better ; ))
Thanks much for any help! CW Propst

Can you remind me how to order your product? I did not see a link on the internet. Last time it seemed there was a ten unit minimum quantity, which was a disincentive for me. Bob Allan Omaha

Re: Consumer Warning Labels
It comes up because certain paints and adhesives are banned or hard to get in some places. To enforce the bans or restrictions a system of labels is required. It's about public health, a very hot topic right now.

I am an industrial toxicologist by profession and was board certified until I retired. Until mid 2005, I was employed by an multinational corporation. My position involved making certain the company's products were labeled correctly for all locations where they were offered for sale. Before new products were introduced, I evaluated the ingredients and made suggestions that certain ingredients be changed if they were hazardous. California Proposition 65 is one of the State regulations that has requirements for labeling that seem ridiculous to me on the surface. I just purchased some white hobby that has such a label because it contains titanium dioxide. I contend that companies should have every new and modified product assessed by professional qualified toxicologists.
