David,
Unfortunately, that particular archive has no zoom function. I downloaded the photo, but the scan resolution was such that it really could not be enlarged.

Re: ERIE boxcars in 1914 and a nice view of a loading pen with sheep
Notice the hogs in the pen with the hog shed.
What is the white octagonal building? A phone booth? It’s up on cribbing and it looks like a tool boxes and other supplies around it. There are work crew cars with walk planks among the siding. Indications of a work project in town?

Re: some steam era work train equipment images
Claus the “sand car” is probably for hauling/storing locomotive sand. Appears to be a homemade single bay covered hopper.

IC (number unreadable) single sheathed boxcar with windows

NYC car, possible tank car? Possible weed sprayer? Possibly rebuild from a steam loco tender?
Enjoy!

CORRECTED COPY Re: [RealSTMFC] NYC offset-side hopper (Sunshine Minikit)
David
I'm assuming HO since you mentioned Sunshine (AFAIK, their hopper minikits were for the AAR alternate standard offset, not the cars in question),Sunshine did make a minikit for the 1920s NYC System offset-side hoppers. This one came up on Ebay a week ago: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sunshine-Resin-NYC-Or-P-amp-E-Resin-Hopper-Mini-Kit-/233653105525 David Thompson

Re: Posting photo links was Photo: Tank Cars At National Zinc Separating Company Plant

I would not normally have the time or inclination to go looking for these. Nor would it necessarily occur to me to go looking for them, either.
It's true for me also that most of these photos are too old for me, but every once in a while something that interests me pops up. I don't get emails, but rather see the posts on line, so it's not any hardship for me in terms of having to delete the posts. So if one or two or three people have the time, and the ideas, and the willingness, to go excavating these, more power to you. And if nothing else, it amuses me about the lack of knowledge of the people who are assigned to write captions for them, or the lack of perspective on something that happened a hundred years ago, but that comes with the territory. Thank You Bob , and others for posting these photos. Keep them coming as they generate conversation and data from other list members in the know. This is information I can use and would have a hard time finding on my own. Those that don't like the photos are few and far between and don't have anything to share anyway. They should appreciate the digging and searching you do and learn to use the delete key if not needed. Sounds like they are just a flat spot on the wheel and should mark off, worked too many 12-hour trips. Thanks a million, Dave SilverStreak Bayless Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE device

Re: photo links (was Photo: Tank Cars At National Zinc Separating Company Plant)
I think the "why" is up to the viewer. But I do hope the photos will start dialogues by folks who know a lot more about the pictured subject than I do.
And these photos are not as easy to find as you might think. I review somewhere between 600 to 1,500 photos most weeks. Many of the photos I find cannot be found using search terms such as railroad, train, boxcar, etc. because so many of these sites do not reference everything that is in a particular photo. And so of the little known community historical society websites, again with no reference to railroad content in their search engines, are themselves difficult to find. Bob Chaparro Hemet, CA

There is a phone number and address for Reboxx on their website ( https://www.reboxx.com/ ), which is copyright 2020. I could find no owner for the phone number and two sources had no listing for the stated address. Strange. Bob Chaparro Hemet, CA

Those of us who were close to the REBOXX people are checking into this. The name is registered and has not been abandoned. I would not get excited that the line is resurrected, as much as I personally would love to see that.
