PM reefers to FGE (was Help w/ORERs)
1940, probably later in the year as the PM diagram page has a revision
in March 1941. FGE series was 16100+16299 (125 cars).

Bill, I have ORERs for 1926 and 1933 and can scan the FGEX entries and
either send them as pdf attachments to an e-mail message or mail them as
hard copy - your choice.

PRR X37b again
I rechecked the IH data on the kit I have after looking them up on the STMFC
photo gallery, and it does indeed say 10'8" IH not 10'6" as I had reported
earlier. Bud

In the Jan. 1953 ORER, the O&W had exactly 180 cars - 34 cabooses, 13
boxcars, 13 gons, 1 flat & 119 twin hoppers.
Some of the hoppers may have carried Anthracite east to Maybrook and

The only O&W cars that saw any regular interchange in later years were hoppers. The last boxcars the road had were all 36' wood cars that were pretty much on their last legs by the 50's and they

NYO&W freight cars in interchange?
I have never seen a photo of a NYO&W freight car on a foreign road,
say for example in the 1950's. I know the Old and Weary went out of
business in 1957 and that they were mostly a bridge road but

Preserved(?) STMFC in Texas Panhandle
I was a driver in a caravan of 8 vans taking kids to camp this week. As a diversion from the noise of the kids, I kept track of steam era rail cars and other noticeable things located along the way,
