Re: something fishy about this tank car auction... (UNCLASSIFIED)
I think the seller "Mr.Happy" will be changing his name to "Even_Happier" I
wonder if this comes close to a record price for a piece of STMFC HO
rolling stock? Al Campbell

They used to pound this into us at work.
Instead of just communicating so that you can be understood, you should try to communicate so that you CANNOT be MISUNDERSTOOD.

Re: something fishy about this tank car auction...
Tim,
It ended awhile back. I watched in amazememt as these two guys just keep bidding against each other one bid right after the other! What eBay is all about, but I have never been that lucky.

It would be even nicer if the side tooling were symmetrical.
See Ed Hawkins' detailed analysis of this kit in the archives.
The Exactrail model is better, or at least, it doesn't have

This is what I use also. For spot uses, like depicting small patches
of peeled off roof paint, I now almost always use my silver Sharpie pen.
Once lightly weathered and Dullcoted it appears as a light

Scalecoat Graphite and Oil works well too, with perhaps a bit of gray,
depending on the age you want to achieve.

I started an Intermountain ribside box car kit today. I really think it's one of the best plastic kits I've assembled...well, not quite assembled. Seems the underbody detail sprue wasn't in the box. I
