Re: Owl Mountain Models safety vents
Don,
He talks about doing it with a P2K 8K tank. I'm talking about a 10K P2K
tank. In both cases, the P2K dome is incorrect, although certainly can
be a stand-in. The correct dome for his tank

Re: Owl Mountain Models safety vents
Is this not what the Owl Mountain website describes doing if you read the entire site or is it another modification based upon a P2K 8,000 gal. car?? Great product which I'm glad to see.
Cordially,

I believe Rod Adams has/had control of the site. At one time he was part of this group, not sure if he still is, or not.

Missing person
Some one from England (I believe) wanted to buy some of the CGW box car doors. But, I can’t find a name and address anywhere.
I’m hoping he’s on this list.

Re: Gritty paint
Thanks to all who have made suggestions.
As for those who say it would be out of scale, I agree that in HO scale much if not all of the characteristic foundry casting texture would not be visible.

Re: SP hog fuel car
I have a similar question in that I have a F-50-4 flat car (Gilmaur kit) that I'm considering adding wood racks to for use as a hog fuel car.
BTW hog fuel is wood chips/sawdust.
