Hmmm. Well...I think I now know enough that I am probably going to be safe by referring to those trucks with roller bearings as...well...roller bearing equipped trucks and those without roller

I am bailing on this, but it would be useful to know the context of the Railway Age articles. I would suspect they are referring to the presence, or lack thereof, of oil flow control passages
