Re: Lindberg HO Scale Refrigerator Car
Dennis,
My still operational SW-1 (600 HP) diesel didn't have think paint and to
this day is still one of the best running slow moving locomotives in my
fleet. That it is now lettered for PE 1010

Ben,
I'm still up! I never associated the Lindberg stock car with anything GN. But I couldn't locate my sample tonight to list what might make it not GN. Does anyone have a good 3/4 view of the model

I think it is time for me to chime in on this. For one thing I have to defend Irv Athearn who was guilt of all the warts and pimples, like mirror image underframes, thick doors with claws, overssize

The image of the reefer in that ad is too small to say anything
useful about its prototype, if any, except that it certainly was NOT
an SFRD car, as the model had 4' wide doors and Santa Fe cars

Hi Dan,
In 1957 there were 2290 XMs in DRGW 67500-69899. There are a lot of photos of this series - I just looked at a sample that I had on hand; they had 6 foot doors, riveted sides with 12 panels
