I believe that some were used to haul Maine potatoes from the Aroostook Valley Railroad in the eastern part of Maine into New Brunswick.

Would a so, so quality pix of the icing platform at New Buffalo on the PM be of any help?
I remember seeing a C&O map that shows the PM's Rouge Merge yard also had a re-icing platform

Use to see the CP 8 hatch reefers routinely on the Boston & Maine and New Haven, usually in blocks,coming down from Canada. Never did find out what they were carrying though-good
