Neither do I, especially with Poly Scale white, even on gray plastic. A
several light coats seems to be better than a couple of heavy coats. The
toughest application is ModelFlex in any

Accupaint yellow simply does not cover well, even over the gray Accupaint
primer to be used on brass. The yellow nose on ERIE F-units is particularly
aggravating.

Armand,
Not just any priner - the base coat under yellow must be grey or silver to get any kind of decent coverage and even there, you'll need multiple coats.

I guess I have been spoiled having used Accupaint.I use a primer,I have used all brands including Acrylics.I have an airbrush.I do not seem to get the same coverage that I get with darker

Armand....I assume your airbrushing........I've used both Floquil and Scalecoat......with primer (Floquil) and without primer(Scalecoat) ....Key is a light but solid 1st coat, let dry and then a
