Lettering Color of Phila Quartz Tank cars
Would anyone know if Philadelphia Quartz tank cars lettered their cars in different colors according to the contents? For example, cars lettered " SOLUBLE SILICATES " seem to be in Yellow lettering

This car is, or was, offered by Broadway Limited. It is a six car
set, BLI 1617. I believe it was one of the models that belonged
to Ted Richardson.
The car was one of 700 that was leased,

Accupaint made a primer for brass and resin -- it works better than straight AP on resin. I've also sprayed
AP over Scalecoat I primer (MofW gray) without problems.

Re: Yellow Paint
Armand,
Not just any priner - the base coat under yellow must be grey or silver to get any kind of decent coverage and even there, you'll need multiple coats.
