Looks like a two-panel version of a vertical Vulcan end, which itself is very rare (only example I know of is the W&LE 27000 series).

In the course of working on my chapter about the ex-PRR R7 reefers I am seeing things I had not noticed before. I have 14 photos of these cars in FGE or NX reporting marks configured as "RS" types.

You mean B&O C-16 wagontop express cars converted from M-53 boxcars.
Technically, these were not REA cars.
Just 25 cars (1875-1899) of the 125 total C-16 express cars
