Re: DT&I lease of PRR X26c boxcars
Pierre,
It looks like DT&I received the cars in 1953. I have a few photos and the Main Line Modeler Diagrams from an F&C X26c Instruction sheet. I can scan and email you them if that is what you are

Pierre, are you looking for photos? Try the July 1988 issue of Mainline Modeler, page 56. Side, end and 3/4 views of DT&I 104452, circa 4-53.

Alternatively, you could go directly to the source for these images, and bypass the thieves at Shorpy completely:

Pierre Oliver asked:
"Can someone provide a little history of this car lease?
Time, duration, etc?
And maybe a really brief look at the actual cars?"

Delano photograph of LCL house in Chicago
I am sure that many of you know the photograph I'm referring to. I cannot
find it on line. Can any one of you provide a pointer to the photo. I think
it is a LofC photo, but could not find it

Re: seaboard boxcar
Excellent blog post by Tony on modifying this car to a Seaboard model. I'll have to print it off--there is a "peacetime" use for this model that I bought in a fit of ignorance. As for Atlas

Unless they've changed the rectangular panel roof, there is something weird about the way the panels come all the way to the edge of the roof.
