Where to begin?!
The paint and stenciling are correct for the PM car as build. 125 of these cars went to FGE in 1940 and were placed in their 16100-299 series. As built they had straight u/f's and

No, they’re not cheap, but virtually all quality illustration board is now acid free, or buy “museum board” if you want to be sure, and make your own acid free box. You can glue it together,

The only pictures I have seen of LV box cars prior to the green ones has
the LEHIGH VALLEY on the left side of the car. The LV was on unique in
that there were a number of other railroads

That mold is feeding on the paper, and you may get rid of the smell however not kill the mold. The next time the humidity rises the mold could come back to life. And if you place these by other books,

I've had success with these methods
1) get a bag of kitty litter and put 2"-3" in the bottom of a plastic bucket that you can seal.
2) Put the book standing up with as many of the pages fanned

storage of the MSTL AFE files that Gene Green is currently working with. We
got them from Gaylord, who regularly offers
