I've seen this much sideplay on real plain-bearing wheelsets. The journals and/or brasses would wear enough to allow an inch or so of side-to-side motion in the wheelset relative to the sideframes.

Gentlemen, Bethlehem Car Works has 2 versions, #1217 Coil Springs & #1218 Leaf Springs. Interesting that these numbers coincide with the old ECW numbers!

I have a resin parts kit to make the Bulkheads for CGW 2000 and 3000 series bulkhead flats. The A end has a parts locker. I have put up photos in the photo section.

Only the 40' box cars and some of the 40' auto cars. The trucks came from several suppliers and so there will be minor differences, most notable the centered verticle web, or lack of, in the bolster
