Hi Bill (and other interested in automobile traffic):
I gathered some statistics from the 1% carload waybill study on passenger and freight automobile shipments into a post that you may find useful

WIF Boxcar Herald
If anyone knows, would a Circle with the words Superior All Rail Route to Cuba herald be more appropriate for 1953 or 1956? Decaling awaits a West Indies Fruit 40' Boxcar.
Thanks,
George

Lee,
SSW ordered 1000 box cars from ACF in 1923 (in two500 car lots), My June 1924 ORER does not list #32000, but my Dec. 1924issue shows the first 500 cars (32000-32499). The second series

Re: Most needed car?
Indeed, Douglas. Ted Culotta's Essential Freight Car #8 is a CN' 40' steel-frame boxcar. Numbered CN 503500-513499, these ten thousand 1929-1931-built cars were seen all over North American rails.

Allen, later this week, as soon as I have time, I'll go through my GATX photos and send you those that may be useful for this purpose.

Jim, I did indeed supply numerous photos to David Lehlbach of Tangent, who is meticulous both in his prototype research and in his attribution of sources.
You're suffering from some misconceptions

Re: SSW 31000-33499
I don't know the builder, but I recognize the car's ends as being re-used for a 40' double 8' door steel side rebuild into Bluebird bus seat boxcars. The USRA clone DS car reused the frame and ends

Hi,
1) I notice that on the Tangent web site these tank cars are
listed as part of "The Richard Hendrickson Collection" (sic).
If Richard is involved I think it is highly unlikely

Re: Multi-dome tank car data
Recall the original purpose of the "dome" was to provide expansion
space for the product in the car, or compartment in this discussion.
Therefore, a smaller done would be required.

Hey Andy!
I've used C&BT Shops shells then detail them with Archer rivets, Kadee, Branchline, Plano and other detail parts and Microscale decals. I have even laser printed some decals to fill in

So Gentlemen, based on backdating the GATX to an early 1950's what will everyone use for the white stripes above and below the reporting marks ( assuming they were there on the prototype)? Would love

Re: 3-Dome GATX Type 30 Tank Car from Tangent make surprise debut
I took two 1958 version cars and changed 8's to threes. I have no prototype photo, so asking if there Is there any other change that is needed to back date to early 50's.

I for one am thrilled to see the return of C&BT. As already mentioned they
are the only source for many freight cars. But more than that they are a
return to KITS! I have more freight cars than I
