Re: who is the maker of the dark brown AB sets that Sunshine used in their kits?
I have a storage container about the size of a Plano 3700 tackle box that has nothing but brake components in it. I have several sets of DA and Grant Line AB brake sets, as well as Bowser sets.

You didn't say -- are they injected molded or resin?

Re: Rocket Express models
I've ordered four kits from Rocket Express (two boxcars and two cabooses) on four separate orders and received all of them within 6 months. Ron just takes a while to respond and to fill orders.

Don, Rocket Express was one of the vendors at Naperville/Lisle this year. I have couple of their kits and they appear to be of a quality and accuracy at least equivalent to Sunshine kits.

Re: COSX 975
Richard,
COSX 975 was one of 2 cars built 10-23 by ACF (lot 9643), series
975-976, 50 tons, 3 compartment, 10,000 gallons, ARA Spec. III. I
believe the cars later went to SDRX.

COSX 975
The Fort Collins (Colorado) Public Library has a nice 1930-era photo of COSX 975, a three-dome tank car. I don;'t have an ORER from that far back. Can anyone give me information about the car?

The NP had quite a few. The 6000 and 8000 series readily come to mind and I am sure there were more on the NP.
I had dug up some data at the MNHS from AAR WWII reports and these end door cars

Brad,
I just did a quick filter on my box car data and came up with 495 series with auto end doors. It is indeed "a long list." This dump includes new cars built with the doors as well as renumbered
