I'm looking at using some Intermountain composite drop bottom gondolas to model the cars that the G&F acquired circa 1926. From the sides, the cars seem to be a spot on match. But the ends are not

I cannot speak about PFE's experiments but Dry Ice cars were part of the FGE/WFE/BRE experiments to develop "unpropelled" (no motor or engine) Mechanical systems for handling frozen food shipments.

1935. The vertical posts and diagonal braces remained on the outside of the car sides. Cars

If you're modeling in HO, you may not be aware of the P2K end-door 50 double door boxes. I believe they came in road names: Q, GTW, ERIE, LV, SOU, UP. I've got a couple around here
