Re: Unusual Load - Old Telephone Directories
The LV cars were rebuilt double door cars, leaving the left door inplace. They had recessed straight side sills. The car appears to befishbelly. This is most likely a B&O M12. Pennsy took overB&O

Re: The final word on Gerry Glow?
Well, if you're more comfortable writting code than learning 3D CAD, I'm sure you'll be able to find a printer that understands G-code!

Re: Tank cars for wine
Precision Scale also did 6 dome wine tank cars; I have one each of the
Madera and Martini Winery cars, SHPX 6611 and 6614 respectively.
Thanks!

The ALPS¹s ability to print white was just one positive aspect; the ability
to print real metallic gold and silver were others.
Thanks!

Tank cars for wine
I've just posted a new write-up on my blog about prototype and model wine tank cars, including a link to a sale price on some Ready-to-Run model wine cars. If you're interested, you can read it at

IIRC, at least on of them printed decals on ALPS printers. Lack of drivers for current OSs and the discontinuance of supplies by ALPS may have figured into the business plan of these companies. ALPS

Yep. I was at the local computer superstore a couple weeks ago, and they had a bunch of 3d printers for sale, from $500 on up to $3500. None of them anywhere near fine enough for HO scale modeling,
