If you have RPR Cyc 15, there is a photo of a Mathieson Dry Ice reefer on page 77. Photo taken in Saltville, VA in 1952.

Can't help with prototype photos of the R7 car but there are a number of photos of the rather odd looking ACF cars built for Matheison in the early 1930s. Early kits for different versions these cars

I would strongly suggest that it is a DL&W trailer -- the style and letteing scheme fits (angled Route of Phoebe Snow lettering, similar to the boxcars), as does the silver roof. That flat car is not

The etched portion at the bends is on the outside of the bend, right?
How are the angled stirrups installed?
Look great so far and a whole lot stronger than expected once installed.

I think the DL&W had dark green trailers with aluminum roofs thatlooked
more or less like the one in that photo. The trailer appears to be anAerovan,
with its distinctive rounded nose and roof trim.
