The ends on this series of car were brown. The black ends didn't start until the 54000-series. The running boards should be wood.

Bondic Adhesive
Saw today for the first time an ad for Bondic Adhesive. Sounds possibly amazing for model work. Stays fluid until set with UV light. Void-filling, sandable, etc. Checked it out a little. Not sure

The BL reefer has a double board roof while most of the ART wood-sheathed reefers had an outside metal roof. Hatch covers were initially wood but they were refitted with metal. End sill is different.

My information states that there were two versions one with 2750 cu.ft. rated at 70-tons and after 1960 a slightly larger version with 2960 cu.ft. rated at 80-tons.
The Clinchfield had the 2750 type
