A heavy under frame with deep side sills would be needed for such a car, as the body with a large opening for four moveable doors on each side would not have much structural strength.

Unusual Milwaukee Road boxcar
The following photo on eBay has been brought to my attention, a 50’ box car with four doors built on what seems to be a flat car. http://www.ebay.com/itm/371447774953. I have been to now unaware of

Re: Need PRR G24 gon help
There were 634 cars remaining in 1953; 6 in 1958 and 1 in 1963.
Photos post 1951 are going to be rare as the class was rapidly being scrapped.
In 1953 the following series still contained active cars:

Dave,
Westerfield ACL decals may or may not be useful depending on the period you are modeling. The ACL USRA DS boxcar decals represent an earlier version of the ACL herald used on boxcars. The width

I have all four volumes but tend to use Vol 1 the most. Vol 2-4 focus on railroad collections of libraries not just in this country but some international also. It takes a bit of work and luck

Thanks Eric. I did check Westerfield but did not dig far enough into their website to find the decals.
Now that I did find the decals I also ordered 2 kits for ACL cars; like I really need more

Railroad Historical Resources (Was: Looking for info on the New York Central around Chicago during WW II)
Another potential source is Guide To Railroad Historical Resources compiled by Thomas T. Taber III. This was published as a four-volume set back in 1993 but may still be available from:

I am in DCC and Richmond Controls circuits work just fine. I know his locomotive circuits seem to be DC oriented but caboose and passenger car circuits work well for either.
