Terry Wegmann PFE Kit Parts
I know that Terry Wegmann died in 2011, but is there anyone with a supply of the parts he made to convert a Tichy R-40-2 into an R-30-16 or any other of his parts.
Does anyone still make the parts

Gents,
Those of you that have seen these cars can give an opinion. How different are they from the Trix/Marklin cars that modeled the same prototype? Can anyone compare the two in photos?
Thank

Bill, I'm not sure I can block out almost 3 weeks. That's some RPM! I assume you meant 20th and 21st of April 2018.

I have received several of these cars, and in my own opinion they are really excellent. I have posted a short review to my blog, with a couple of photos to show the look. Boy, have we needed these! If

I would beg to differ on this point. The roof would have to have been entirely rebuilt to "tack" the platforms on the end. If you look at the upper corner end of the roof, you can still see

Tony,
I respectfully disagree. Note that the bolsters are only a couple feet inboard from the ends of the carbody, and the outer wheels are under the platform. I think the side sills have been cut

Cabooses -NYC boxcar rebuilds.
Ray mentions the need for a thin cross section end for the NKP rebuild.
Find someone who resin casts; an occasional hobbyist caster will do.
Make an end to your satisfaction, glue it to a mold box,

Hi guys,
The Nickel Plate also had two groups of cabooses built from Accurail's 36-footers. 37 "rider cars" with no vestibules, and 57 true cabooses. The NKPHTS issued a resin model of the rider
