Re: Terry Wegmann PFE Kit Parts
The problem is finding the Wegmann conversion parts. Also Basic RC PFE wood side ice car kits are almost impossible to find at a kit bashing price.

Re: URTX 67806 (Meat Reefer)
Bob the car was owned by Union Refrigerator Transit, not anyone else. URTC was a major supplier of leased reefers, that was their business. If it was a long term lease, as in the Milwaukee from 1950

Early ATSF Mechanical Reefer Models - What Do You Want?
I have a friend who is in the product development group at amajor model manufacture. For many years I have been asking him (Read: begging)for a first generation mechanical refrigerator car.

The Trix cars had some issues that the BLI cars improved upon, especially
the jacket thickness - and of course the underframe, trucks and draftgear.
Mathematically speaking, Trix < BLI <<< Tangent.

It's not uncommon for boxcars that are converted to cabooses or MOW camp cars to have some of the side truss members removed or severed to accommodate windows. The new use doesn't require anything
