Betterment roof
Tom,
It was good to meet you at CCB. I'm glad you introduced yourself to me. I understand you make (made?) betterment roofs for CB&Q passenger cars. Is one still available? I want to model the C&S car

Lester,
Is the Westerfield car a flat kit or a single body? I'd like one of these cars but I have never had much luck building flat kits. My former resin car builder is made at me so he probably won't

Re: Tangent GA Tank Car
One of the Gerstley photos (circa 1958-1959) is a shot of a GATC Type 17SDRX #15145.
The series 14800-15803 still shows7 tank cars with SDRX reporting marks in the1963 ORER,

SDRX was Sinclair not Sunray DX, but at some point beyond myresearch, their fleet became part of UTLX's in the mid 50's. That wouldtaken some time to accomplish, so the 1957 date is notunreasonable.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Tangent tank car . . . I recently received the Sinclair #15167 and have found the same thing on the lettering, but after weathering I don't think it will be noticeable.

Re: Proper Placement Of A Load
Bob,
From an engineering viewpoint, the placement of the supports looks good. This way the load is distributed evenly to all four trucks. If you moved the supports toward either end of the flat cars
