The as-built ends were 4-4 improved dreadnaught, not 3-4. The one on #19210 is definitely different. I'm looking at the end of one of those cars rebuilt by L&N's South Louisville Shops, which

Many NC&StL freight cars ran in full NC paint well after the 1957 merger with L&N. Some were given the patch job with L&N reporting marks and number. Most (400) of these particular NC&StL
