Re: Broadway hopper lettering removal
I'm not sure this wouldn't attack the base paint but 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and Q-tip may work.
Good luck

Very interesting that the Pine-Sol didn't affect the paint, only thelettering.
Has anyone tried this on other brands of freight car models? I assumethey don't
all use exactly the same paint

HI Tim,
I just found my C&NW MOD-1 decal set and it has only the ACF and PS cars builders photos. The ACF car 73348 was built 5/42 with the Route of the 400 and the PS built 71342 was built 11/41

There is a picture of CNW 82484 with the Overland Route slogan in "The Postwar Freight Car Fleet" by Kline and Culotta. The caption notes there were multiple slogans on the series.

An excellent suggestion - there are FIVE daily trains and fares areas
low as $22 one way! I mean, that's cheaper than a taxi from Midway toNaperville.

Andy,
You best bet is to take a flight at a non popular flight time, and be willing to forego non-stop flights.
