Sorry to belabor this topic.
As part of my flatcar handbrake maintenance project I was able to cut the mounting projection back on a Kadee 2021 Equipco handbrake wheel and drill it with a #76 drill

Correction the Tichy part in the picture is the #3005 K brake sprue. I used this rather than the Tichy #3003 as that part is a single casting rather than a separate top guide and then the lower part

I built one of those Walthers URTX reefers. It was a good car, for its day, and the Duryea underframe was somewhat well represented, at least the crossbearers, but there was no draft gear extension.
