New topic - PRR List Of Tracings book
Hi All,
I have just received 2 books that I consider to be a MAJOR addition to my
collection. The first is a collection of PRR lists of tracings for MANY
freight cars. It is 1 1/2" thick.

Tank Car Platform Requirements?
Allen, I doubt there was any such safety rule in the US. Tank car platforms
are not considered railroad "safety" equipment. They are there for the
convenience of loading and unloading personnel

Frt Train Speeds
Richard Hendrickson and Tony Thompson seem to agree that SP frt train speeds
were not particularly high in most circumstances. I wonder how much the
terrain in which they operated contributed to that.
