Bucyrus RB17 Crane Loaded on a Flat Car Photos
I am curious if anyone knows of photos of a Bucyrus crane loaded on a flat car? There is a very nice kit available. Thank you.

Re: ATSF Boxcar 274525 Roof Repaint
Bill,
It depends, maybe, maybe not. If your car is in original paint, metal running boards should be galvanized. If they represent a repaint, it should match the roof, non-skid black prior to 51,

I never saw that in the boxcar or Furn. car book, but once I looked at the ATSF model painting guide by Richard Hendrickson , there it was. None of this is to denigrate Lester's work. Looks like I

Re: New Manufacturer Prototype Junction announces 1st Project AT&SF Bx-11,12,13 and a Rs
Years ago I took a pair of "Kitbits" Dalman two-levels, and added styrene strips as journal-box retainers … I think they're on my first Seaboard B-5. Was Andy's method anything like that?
Al Brown,

The Dalman/Andrew's in the photo represents yet another Andrew's variation. Andy Carlson instructed me on doing these from a Tahoe truck at the bar in Lysle. He h as d just sold me a GN kit.

Yes, the Dalman One-Level trucks will be available separately. I don't think Ted Culotta would talk to me anymore if we didn't make them available.

Dalman-Andrews trucks were also used by Seaboard (one class of boxcars, albeit a large class) and Soo Line (several classes of assorted cars).

I think the 2-level DALMAN-ANDREWS sideframes would be much more useful and distinctive.
But that's just me. :-)
The enclosed picture of one was posted by Jack Burgess.

Steel Boxcar Paint Cycles -- Good and Bad
In looking at photos as a guide for weathering, it seems that some roads' steel boxcars tended to look nice, while others tended to look grubby. I'm not talking about routine weathering from road

Good question, we already have excellent Dalman 2 level! Not sure if enough are available to save Randy some tooling costs!

Hello Randy,
In your earlier post, you mentioned Dalman One-Level trucks and stated they have never been offered in HO before. A big hole, of many.
Will you be offering these trucks?
Hoping,
Dan

Nice job on this early Westerfield car. I did this car when it first came out but that car has suffered some damage. I have decals for a later period and have obtained another kit. One note. The

Bill,
I respectfully disagree, Santa Fe steel running boards remained unpainted galvanized when applied new. They were only painted to match the roof in a repaint. Had the running boards been wood,
