Hutchins Dry Lading Roof?
I'm inclined to think this is someone's outside metal roof, and not any sort of all-steel roof.

Yeah, it does, but I don't think the Viking name was in use in 1916, being a trade name Chicago-Cleveland transitioned to some time around WWII.

Elliot,
I used Campbell Scale Models chain, which is 42 links per inch. I used 1x6 styrene for the brake levers, and 0.012 wire with clevises made from Grandt Line turnbuckles for the brake

Re: Hutchins Dry Lading Roof?
I agree that it's a radial roof, but it doesn't seem to match the images of the Hutchins "camber" roof in the 1916 CBC. I don't know who made that roof.

Re: Soo Line boxcar
Great model! What size chain and brass strip do you need for the brake cylinder pulley assembly? My sunshine kit of the soo sawtooth did not include either.
Thanks,
Elliot

I mentioned the flat bottom of the top rib in a second post.
Thanks!

I, of course, have a soft spot in my heart for models of these cars, and this is a very nice build, and an extremely nice paint and weathering job.
