Re: CB&Q "Bomber Boxcar"
As far as I Know it is still there. I will check the next time I go to Scottsbluff. There are also 2 in the eastern part of the state. Ravenna, maybe but I can't remember for sure.

Hi Larry, Bud, and List Members,
How about having a look at “The Mather Boxcar Draft Horse of American Boxcars” in RMC Feb 1991 pg 85 by Martin Lofton. Has photos and drawings.

In the fwiw column, the Pullman library has haskell and barker drawings for Mather stock, auto, refrigerator, vegetable, and beef cars. I didn't see one for straight box, but it may well be there.

If you read the caption of the photo posted, you will learn it was built from a Sunshine kit.

CB&Q "Bomber Boxcar"
Maybe it is still there--20 years ago I was in Scotts Bluff NE. and adjacent to a small rail yard, a grain mill had an on-site storage structure which was a surviving CB&Q extended height box car

Drawings for Mather Patent boxcars
Hello,
Anyone know of existing drawings for the Mather 40' single sheathed boxcars? Mainline Modeler perhaps?
Thanks in advance,
Bud Rindfleisch

The Burlington Bulletin on the extended roof XA-14D cars states that some served out they’re life without conversion to original height. I’m traveling, so I can’t access my source until next

Re: AHM roof
The AHM roof does resemble a the flat-panel version of SRECO's steel roof. But the seam caps should extend to the edge of the roof.

In response to Tim's question,
NERPM is still on for now.
We are carefully following developments and will of course follow the
advice of health and government officials.
Our meet is at the end of May

AHM roof
To me that looks like an early Stanray steel roof before the raised panels. I had a need for a few of those 20+ years ago and I believe I used a Train Miniature donor. Look at the seam caps--look like
