Off-Topic: Eschelman Turnout Links
Friends,
I am in need of some Eschelman turnout links. I have three and need three more, but would gladly take extras for future projects. If any of you have any of these kicking around in your parts

Tools for photo etched ladder assembly
I am in the process of building a resin freight car kit that contains photo etched ladders that need to be assembled. Since my post on ladders I have found and am using new tools and jig to assemble

It's in stock right now. You may be thinking of Volume 3, which is indeed OOP.

Re: Westerfield NB box car
The door, pulling loops and the roof and running board may need to be changed as most of the NYC cars had been re-roofed with either straight or diagonal panels and all(ish) some iteration of patch

Thanks Barry. Just looked at them. Great photos! I like the door and pulling loops so might just build the car as is? Need to check my NYC info first tho...

Norfolk and Western H2a split side triples
Photographs show 24589 (1/53), 25200 (5/53), and 28500 (5/56), so it is likely the N&W-built groups in 24561-25499 (1953) and 28500-29999 (1956).

Re: Photo: Freight Yard At The West Bottoms
The MM cover shot was taken at CNW, Proviso, IL, I believe. There were a couple of Monon wood boxcars in the shot. This is all SLSF and a wonderful photo just the same.

Re: Westerfield NB box car
If you have access to the Vancouver Archive photos you will note that both the NB and the HC reached that city, so not so unlikely to appear in Propst country as presumed.
