Re: MDC heavy duty trucks
Those HD trucks were included in the earlier ore cars but more recent kits and R-T-R versions feature their regular freight car trucks.
I've had good luck finding the earlier versions at swap meets.

I too partook in the insanity of building these tractors too. Here's a photo of them when new 25 + yrs ago. The flat car deck was removable so a plain deck could be a replacement. Load in/empty out

Re: FARMALL TRACTOR DECALS
If I recall correctly the decals were included in the tractor kit Martin offered. Building these tested my sanity too. There are over 50 parts in each tractor! I added a few things like MV lenses

That's a humbling request coming from you Rob. Sure you can. Would you rather wait till the couplers/ cut levers are installed and the car is on the layout?

I have a question on seat color. As I remember the Formal 300 we had, had a plastic like cover that was silver in color.
It was our first tractor with any kind of seat covering. before that the seats

Does anyone remember what freight car - MDC or Athearn - they went under? My memory banks failed me on this one.

Re: FARMALL TRACTOR DECALS
Tim:
I recall this coming up shortly after Martin released the kits. All thet I recall I s that someone questioned their sanity after doing a load. The tractors in Mr. Sandifer's post look super.

Re: Speaking of decals
I found this to be true of the Kadee "laser sharp" decals - The white is translucent.
It's a shame because 99.9% of their lettering is perfect.
