Placard holders-tack boards
As it happens, I just scanned several drawings for tackboards and such - and their placement on the car is well defined - in theas-built configuration. Just as with the various locations forstencils

I agree. I seem to recall the IC was called upon to provide boxcars for temporary housing for several of the bad floods in the early part of the twentieth century.
