Good catch, Steve! I was focused on the photographer notes in the bottom portion of the images. The Southern flat car number is presented in error on the two images documenting the steel delivery on

Re: SLSX stock cars and NISX confirmation
Another option for the Central Valley stock car roof is to use the roof from F&C's NP boxcar kits #1007 & #1008. It's a perfect fit and is the correct width. I don't know if they sell the roof

Beautiful job Fenton. More stimulus to break my inertia and build the two S kits one complete and one accumulated but nearly so that I have above the workbench. I consider these to be among Jim

Thanks also for the info on the NP stock cars. Richard Townsend also identified the width discrepancy, and

Re: SLSX stock cars and NISX confirmation
Peter, I think you misunderstood. All the 71000 Swift cars had four doors, one for each level on each side. Photo evidence shows the 72000 series was single deck cars.
Again the NISX reporting

Re: SLSX stock cars and NISX confirmation
You will be told that the NP car is wider than its prototype. The NP historical society has proper width ends and instructions on how to narrow the car.

FWIW the Southern flat car has number 115232 not 15232.

Re: SLSX stock cars and NISX confirmation
Thanks, Doug.
How inconsiderate of Swift to mix 2- and 4-door double deck cars in the same series! They obviously weren’t thinking of modelers needs in 2020 J I guess that means perhaps ORERs

Re: TC boxes & SOU 52'6" gon (was C of G 56309)
For some reason I’m on a 1923 ARA kick. Besides the PRR x29s I plan to do the DTI, W&LE, LNE and I’ve done the diagonal panel roof and the CNJ so I had to do a Hutchins Dry Lading roof for that
