Hi Claus, there is zero photographic evidence that any ACL USRA SS cars were painted with a monogram like that. The rest of the paint and lettering at first glance APO pears satisfactory. John

As far as I know those cars were painted freight car red like the old Floquil Boxcar Red.
It appears that a few cars were rebuilt after WWII for on-line quarry to mill service. Those

I recently finished the same kitbash using the an undec IM USRA gon as the starting point. The spiral ends available from Shapeways are a drop in replacement of the kits ends. Very easy
