Re: Two boxcars
Thank you everyone for the nice comments on the two boxcars. Finishing next is a Speedwitch NP 50’ boxcar. By tomorrow morning the flat finish overcoat on the decals should be dry and weathering

1937 AAR boxcars: Dreadnaught corner posts
I've been carefully studying the Ed Hawkins/Ted Culotta tabulation covering almost 93,000 AAR boxcars built between 1936 and 1947. Having chosen long ago to model the time period from fall 1940

Mr. Sullivan,
I'm glad you enjoy your cars! I think I saw one of those photos come across here of the UCR cars in log service, and it was very intriguing. These cars and kits are definitely a labor

Brad,
If you get a copy of Thomas Townsend Taber III's Lackawanna history series of three volumes the third and final volume has a series of equipment diagrams. One of the diagrams is for a poultry

I have nothing, except Kristen’s note that states 1900 circa ORER’s do list some railroad owned poultry cars. The ORER’s would give you car numbers and dimensions. But as to what they looked

Re: Two boxcars
Clark,
The CNW car was built based on the article in RPCyc Volume 1. Now that I found a PS-1 underframe I will build another more modern version of the car, and won’t have to sand off the end

Rich,
Those are certainly two very nice builds. I especially like the subtle weathering.

Thank you, Corey.
The D&RGW GS gons and UCR gondola kits that you offer in 3D printed versions fill a gap. I've built one of the UCR models, and it went together well and looks good. I have a DRGW

Two boxcars
Greetings,
I have been trying to clear off my workbench by finishing various freight car projects by the end of the year. I just finished two boxcars.
